„If the bees perish, the mankind will die in four years.“ (Albert Einstein) Thanks to totally unexpendable and inexhaustibly diligent creatures of the nature, as the bees for example are, we have the opportunity to work with this magically smelling and charming material. Beekeeping is nowadays facing crisis - this age is hasty and there are not many people who devote to beekeeping. Swarms are as a consequence of a bee plague being burnt, the bees themselves are encountering frequences of communication signals, poisonous types of pesticides and chemicals. I deeply appreciate those very few master beekeepers. Especially because they supply us with wax plates which we can use as a material that is enjoyable to work with. Wax plates are hand shaped. We use no forms to reach requested shape. Every product is original hand work. The disadvantage of this material is limited durability and fragility. Candles and statues shouldn´t be exposed to higher temperatures. Beeswax is unstable - its molecule changes by time and slight change of colour and shape occurs. It can happen that detailed decorations will loose their original shape or fell off after some time. That is why the wax is the most applicable during creating candle sticks, which end their life in a dignified way. Due to these facts it´s neccessary to pick up the finished work personally. |
